GADE & MORTENSEN • AKUSTIK A/S is an engineering company specializing in architectural acoustics. We solve acoustic issues for architects, owners and authorities regarding concert halls, theatres, cultural venues, buildings for education, commercial buildings, institutions, housing, industrial buildings, houses of worship, etc.

Our company was founded 2007 by MSc, PhD Anders Christian Gade and MSc Bo Mortensen, both having decades of experience in consultancy, university teaching and research.

Our vast practical and theoretical knowledge on sound isolation, rom acoustics and electro acoustic systems are used in design as well as in client advice in both Denmark and abroad. When appropriate, we are happy to enter into partnership with other consultants.

Current Projects

In September 2010 the new concert Hall in Radom, Poland seating 500 opened. We did the scale model testing and assisted ArchAkustik, Krakow, Poland in the acoustic design. The architects were Archi-rad 2000, Poland.

We are working together with Svendborg Architects on a climate barrier to protect against noise from one of Copenhagen's busiest streets.

In December 2010 the new concert hall PKK in Pecs, Hungary will open. The hall seats 1000 people and we have designed the acoustics in cooperation with Kotschy and Partners, Hungary. The architects are Épitész Stúdió Kft., Budapest.
